As a Lead Scientist at SABIC Technology and Innovation, Dr. Ghazzawi has played a pivotal role in advancing the company’s capabilities in polymer composite materials, contributing significantly to the expansion of innovative solutions for high-performance applications. Dr. Ghazzawi has spearheaded projects that qualify SABIC resins for use in demanding oil and gas environments, enabling the production of pipes, reinforced thermoplastic materials, and composite tapes tailored for industrial needs. His expertise extends to the development of novel high-filled compounds, utilizing sustainable materials like basalt rock dust, talc, and calcium carbonate, and pioneering advancements in fire engineering for non-metallic composite material solutions. With a strong focus on intellectual property and innovation. Dr. Ghazzawi obtained his Bachelor’s & MSc degrees in Mechanical Engineering, and PhD in Materials Engineering. He has more than ten patents & international journal publications, with multiple international conferences presentation. In addition, he is an executive member of several boards and committees, certified trainer and arbitrator of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship projects.
