Engr. Yetunde Asekun is the Head of Corrosion for the JV Assets, a Technical Authority in corrosion and SECE Guardian for Corrosion prevention systems in TotalEnergies EP Nigeria limited. In this position she is responsible for the facilities on site to ensure the prevention and mitigation of corrosion for all metallic equipment, immersed, buried, or aerated. She has 14+ years’ experience in corrosion in both Nigeria and in the headquarters in France where she successful worked on different projects from around the world for the Material selection, mitigations methods and monitoring method for corrosion. She holds a B.Eng in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, and a master’s in petroleum engineering and project development from the University of Port Harcourt. She is a member of the Nigerian Institution of Metallurgical, Mining and Metallurgical Engineers, serves as Technical Secretary for the Nigerian Society of Engineers Trans Amadi Branch, and is a COREN-registered engineer.
