Ziyad Abulhamayel, Board of Director, Chairman and CEO and co-founder at GCE Consulting & Former Executive Director at SABIC, Senior Executive Leader, Petrochemicals & Refinery Industries. An accomplished executive with over 30 years of leadership experience in the petrochemicals and refinery industry, Ziyad Abulhamayel has successfully progressed from a mechanical project engineer in Sasref followed by Samref where he held several supervisory and leadership roles to senior executive roles within one of the world’s leading refineries and petrochemical enterprises. With expertise spanning manufacturing, project management, strategic planning, shared services, and plant maintenance & technical, he has consistently delivered operational excellence, strategic growth, and transformative impact across large-scale industrial operations. Throughout his distinguished career, Ziyad has held pivotal leadership roles across maintenance, technical services, and manufacturing at SABIC and its affiliates, including Yanpet (a SABIC–ExxonMobil joint venture) and Ibn Rushd. His accomplishments include directing multi- disciplinary teams, advancing EHSS performance, implementing operational strategies, and optimizing large-scale maintenance and technical functions to strengthen reliability and efficiency across petrochemical plants with major transformation projects such as the Manufacturing Services project covering all phases, i.e. feasibility study, detailed design, execution. Also Process safety leadership and asset aging assessment (AAA). A visionary leader known for his ability to drive transformation and create sustainable value, Ziyad continues to champion innovation, operational optimization, and long-term strategic growth within the energy and petrochemicals sector. He hold a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from KFUPM. He also acquired an MBA degree and Master’s Degree in Political and Diplomatic Relations.
