Prof. Abdelsalam Al-Sarkhi is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and the Director of the Fluid Mechanics Laboratory as well as a senior research scientist at the Center for Integrative Petroleum Research. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University and has over 20 years of experience in multiphase flow and thermofluid sciences. Prof. Al-Sarkhi has held academic and research positions in the USA and Jordan, including at the University of Illinois and the University of Tulsa. His research—supported by NSF and DOE—focuses on drag-reducing polymers and multiphase systems, with extensive collaborations with industry leaders such as Saudi Aramco, Schlumberger, and Chevron.
