Mr. Almaker is Chemical Engineering graduate from King Saud University, College of Engineering back 1989. In August 1989, he joined SABIC at manufacturing affiliate (Kemya) in Jubail, where he held various posts at different times, last of which General Manager, Manufacturing. Early 2003, he moved to IBN RUSHD in Yanbu as General Manager, then became a President in January 2004. In November 2009, he was appointed Manufacturing VP for Yanbu, leading the new organization for all Yanbu manufacturing sites and the Sinopec SABIC Tianjin Petrochemical Company to establish the new Manufacturing concept. Then moved to business in 2012 leading the PP Business Unit. In September 2013, he was appointed by Sabic Board to the position of Executive Vice President, leading SABIC global manufacturing sites. In May 2015, Mr. Almaker appointed to lead SABIC Global research and development as Executive Vice President for Technology & Innovation organization. Starting October 2016, Mr. Almaker appointed to lead SABIC Shared Services as Executive Vice President till June 2020. Curreenlty, holding board membership in public (Yansab & Cement Yanbu) and non public companies, FAMI is one of these companies. Mr. Almaker served as Chairman of Board for YSAPET, KEMYA, IBN SINA, SAMAC & SCIENTIFIC DESING. He served in the advisory board of KSU College of Engineering, KAU College of Engineering and AspenTech.
