Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver,
Canada.
Joined SABIC in 2003 and has since built extensive expertise in stress analysis, fatigue, creep,
buckling, and thermal evaluation of pressure equipment and critical assets. Specialized in
applying these disciplines to Fitness-For-Service (FFS) assessments, failure investigations, and
mechanical design reviews, utilizing both rigorous theoretical frameworks and advanced finite
element analysis (FEA) tools.
Actively engaged in numerous technical initiatives across SABIC affiliates, contributing to the
enhancement of engineering standards, troubleshooting methodologies, and reliability
practices. Has played a key role in the development and authorship of Technical Alerts, Best
Practices, and internal guidelines, ensuring alignment with SABIC’s OMS and SES frameworks as
well as international codes and standards (ASME, API). These efforts have helped strengthen
knowledge-sharing, improve asset integrity, and mitigate risks across the organization.
