Born in 1971 in the Abruzzo region of Italy, Luca Tosto is a second-generation entrepreneur of the Tosto Group and currently serves as Managing Director of Walter Tosto S.p.A., an internationally recognized leader in the manufacturing of high-quality components for the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, and Food/Pharmaceutical industries. Luca Tosto, born on November 9, 1971, in Pescara (Italy), is married and the father of four daughters. He represents the second generation of the Tosto family, which is the sole owner (100%) of the Group. In 1996, he took over the commercial and production management of the company, leading its expansion into international markets a strategic direction that has enabled the company to achieve an annual turnover exceeding €100 million. After completing his technical studies at ITIS “A. Volta” in Pescara, he fulfilled his military service at the Italian Navy Non-Commissioned Officers School “La Maddalena”, where he served as a motorboat operator and mechanic on rescue patrol boats in Taranto, and later at the Harbour Office of Termoli (1990-1991). From 1990 to 1995, he served as Sales Manager in the heavy industry division of Walter Tosto Serbatoi S.p.A.. In 1996, he took over the management of the company’s activities, driving the expansion into global markets, which has led the company to achieve an annual turnover exceeding 100 million euros. From April 1, 2009, he has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Walter Tosto Romania S.r.L.. – Since 2010, he has been a member of the steering committee of the AMW consortium (Ansaldo Nucleare Mangiarotti – Walter Tosto) and a member of the board of directors of the Italian Equipment Fabricators scrl consortium, whose members include Mangiarotti, SICES, Luigi Resta, ATB Riva Calzoni, and Walter Tosto. In 2012, he became Managing Director of Fecne Nuclear Components Srl in Bucharest, Romania, which was later renamed Walter Tosto WTB. From 2014 to 2021, he held the position of President of the Italian Pressure Equipment Association, based in Rome. He is currently the Vice President. In 2014, he founded Seastock srl, a Tosto Group company that provides storage and blending services for petroleum products. The facility is located in the Oil & Gas terminal of Trieste, Italy, and has a total storage capacity of 130,000m3. In August 2016, the Tosto Group acquired Belleli Energy CPE of Mantua, which had belonged to the American company Exterran since 2007, and of which he is currently the President. In 2019, the Tosto Group acquired Officine Maraldi, a historic company founded in 1947 in Bertinoro. Since 2020, he has also served as President of the Confimi Industria Abruzzo Association and, since September 2025, he has been a member of the Executive Council of Confimi Industria with responsibility for nuclear energy. In December 2023, Walter Tosto initiated the process of establishing a NewCo located in the Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. In March 2025, he was awarded the “Gold Seal of the University” by the University of Tuscia for the results achieved in the industrial sector and for his international commitment to the nuclear field.
